This proceedings constitutes a selection of best papers from the 14th International Conference on Business Excellence, Business Revolution in the Digital Era, ICBE 2020, held in Bucharest, Romania, in June 2020. The idea of this new proceedings published by Springer is an initiative to respond to the recent education challenges related to digitalization, innovation, creativity, and performance. During the 18 sections of the conference, more than 200 young and experienced researchers from 17 countries presented their research papers online. This was a great opportunity to very interesting and productive discussions regarding future research subjects for excellence in research and business. This book is based on the selective collection of the most representative research findings and working papers related to education and business environment, digitization and international finance, entrepreneurship and innovation, energy business and accounting, human resources and data science.
The main goals of this book are the following:
• Introduces new and revolutionary concepts, like knowledge entropy; by measuring knowledge entropy researchers can find the ways for developing intellectual capital and creating intelligent organizations and managers can develop new strategies which leads to enhancing innovation.
• Presents the novel soft computing methods in digital coaching environment allowing better intuition-building and learning results for strategic investment
decision-makers.
• Introduces new financial instruments like the Price Probability Predictor, which can be used to build reliable trading signals and limit conditions to automate the investment activity.
• Disseminates research results regarding trending topics like electric vehicles, sentiment analysis via Twitter, econometric analysis for tourism industry, or
finding the determinants of economic growth for the European Union countries.
The valuable partnership with the Faculty of Economics of Sapienza University of Rome is based on a long-lasting relationship built on trust and commitment
toward responsibility, research and performance, excellence, and international prestige. This book is another opportunity to strengthen this higher education
cooperation between our institutions, in both teaching and research as well. The research and innovation created through this partnership play a crucial role in
individual and societal development. This book of proceedings is a valuable final product of this mutual and productive collaboration. Nevertheless, many projects are to be developed in the future, and we will continue cooperation in teaching and research based on friendship and mutual respect.
