Progettare l'effimero. Analisi ed indagini sulle macchine delle Quarantore di Andrea Pozzo
The present essay turns its attention to the projects of liturgical architectures designed and built by Andrea Pozzo from the end of 1600 with particular reference to the theatrical sets for the celebrations of the Quarantore. These ephemeral apparati, real theatrical machines, were characterized by a juxtaposition of planes at different depths that modified the real architecture that housed them. The interest in this particular architectural typology is to be found in its character on the border between two and three-dimensional perspective space.
