Local networks and Aegean-Mycenaean connectivity in the Tyrrhenian and Adriatic seas

This paper aims at reconsidering the subject of the relationships between Bronze Age Italian communities and eastern Mediterranean sailors during the 2nd millennium BC. In particular the historic trajectories of the Tyrrhenian regions and those of the Adriatic regions of Italy are compared and contrasted, taking into account their involvement in maritime exchange networks. 10 years ago the authors dealt with this subject.

Sulla rotta di Antenore. Aquileia e l’Asia Minore

The study begins with the tradition concerning the presence of the Antenorids in Aquileia, which connects the important Adriatic centre to Dardania, in the north west of Asia Minor, a tradition attested not only in literary sources, but also by an inscription. Then it aims to define what kind of interests brought to Aquileia the more than twenty individuals of Anatolian origins attested through epigraphic evidence.
