Characterization of electrical signal of artificial axon model for exposure to millimeter waves

An artificial axon model capable of generating a gradient of potassium concentration trough lipid bilayers, in conjunction with a RC-network circuit, was constructed. This model is capable of revealing changes induced by 53.37GHz radiation on the electrical signal, which traveled perpendicular to the lipid bilayers. In order to improve the quantization of the irradiation induced-effects on the electrical signal we present a new methodology so that preliminary screening of different MMW stimulation regimes in comparison to central nervous system neurons can be carried out.
