Overabounding and social relations: a study of antinomies and the specifics of a concept through a meta-analysis of multiple case studies

The paper presents an empirical analysis of social love, highlighting the meaning and the empirically detectable dimensions of this concept and clarifying some unresolved issues in the theoretical literature on this topic. Thanks to a qualitative meta-analysis conducted on some case studies the paper tries to understand how agape manifests itself in the social dimension and how it differs from other phenomena such as help, altruism and giving to others.

Industrial symbiosis to improve zero waste production system: middle Italy wine district case study

This article studies the energetic potential of biogas obtainable from winery waste production through an anaerobic digestion (AD) process, within the territorial context of Emilia Romagna in Italy. The winery district produces about 5.2 million tons of grapes. These wastes are processes by anaerobic digestion in 5 biodigesters, this methodology allows to re- introduce in the production process 800,000 tons of food waste, consisting of: vegetable waste, wood chips and waste from pruning.

Challenges for Creating a Transnational Index From Secondary Sources: The World Love Index in the Making

This case focuses on the construction of the World Love Index, a new index built ad hoc on secondary
sources with the aim of showing, through transnational comparisons, the different levels of Social Love (SL)
present in different countries. The idea is part of the debate “Beyond GDP” which aims to develop indicators
of the progress of a society, taking into account the environmental and social aspects of well-being. Within
this framework, SL is considered both an important agent of cohesiveness in contemporary society and a

Nonfinancial reporting regulation and challenges in sustainability disclosure and corporate governance practices

The Relational Capital Of Universities: A Dynamic Approach

The purpose of this paper is to shed light on the relational capital of universities, within the new context that requires combining research, education, third mission and internal relations. Our investigation, following a dynamic approach, aims to answer the following RQ: "How is relational capital generated in universities?” From a methodological point of view, we address the research question by adopting a qualitative research approach based on a case study. The case chosen focuses on the foundation and development of a scientific observatory on gender issues entitled “Ipazia”.

Transit network design for small-medium size cities

This paper proposes a novel heuristic to solve the network design problem for public transport in small-medium size cities. Such cities can be defined as those with a diameter of a few kilometers with up to a few hundred thousand residents. These urban centers present a specific spatial configuration affecting the land use and mobility system. Transportation demand is widespread in origin and concentrated in a small number of attraction points close to each other.
