In line with the recent tendencies of limited natural resources, demographic development, dematerialization and digitalization, this chapter underlines the necessity of deepening the role Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) play for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) challenges. In fact, due to the diffuse integration of ICT into most of people’s and firms’ daily activities, companies cannot neglect the role of ICT in shaping CSR strategies.

The international studies on gender and advertising date back to the early Seventies and cut across various disciplines, such as sociology (Goffman 1976), mass communications (Busby 1975), feminist theory (Barthel 1988), critical theory (Williamson 1978), and marketing (Courtney and Lockeretz 1971, Wagner and Banos 1973, Belkaoui and Belkaoui 1976). Despite some interesting exceptions (Alreck, Settle and Belch 1982, Gentry, Doering, and O'Brien 1978), these studies mainly focus on sexual-stereotype, female representations and role portrayals.

Innovative Teaching and Digital Literacy in Preschool. App Content Analysis and Experimental Case Studies in a Sociological Perspective

The objective of this article is to illustrate, from the theoretical and methodological perspective, the construction of an experimental process of a “digital education app” in several preschools in the municipality of Rome. The general objective the project fits into is related to a sociological analysis, based on the relationship between theory and empirical research, of the effects of introducing digital media into preschool didactics.
