Digital Communication Tools and Knowledge Creation Processes for Enriched Intellectual Outcome—Experience of Short-Term E-Learning Courses during Pandemic

Social isolation during the pandemic contributed to the transition of educational processes to e-learning. A short-term e-marketing education program for a variety of students was introduced in May 2020 and is taught entirely online. A survey was conducted regularly in the last week of training using Google Forms, and three cohorts were surveyed in July, September, and December 2020.

Purpose – The main purpose of this paper is to provide a contribution on Knowledge Transfer (KT) and organizational performance and business process, including researches presented in this special issue of the Business Process Management Journal.
Design/methodology/approach – This paper is based on some main reflections on KT, organizational performance and business process emphasizing past, present and future trends of research also in the light of author’s reflections of the paper presented in this special issue.

The curve of knowledge transfer: a theoretical model

Purpose: The knowledge transfer plays a key role in the firm’s capability to develop and to maintain a strategic competitive advantage over time. The capability of the firm to develop an efficient and effective process of knowledge transfer increases the internal skills and then the capability to compete in the business with positive effects on the performance. Like many other rural regions in post-socialist countries, Negotinska krajina wine region faces serious decline in wine production and severe depopulation. In order to reverse these negative trends, strengthening local capacities, through development of social networks, exchange and transfer of knowledge, expertise and know-how, is recognised in planning theory and practice as vital for more sustainable development of rural regions.
