N2O decomposition and reduction on Co-MOR, Fe-MOR and Ni-MOR catalysts: in situ UV–vis DRS and operando FTIR investigation. An insight on the reaction pathways

Co-, Fe- or Ni-exchanged Na-MOR (Si/Al = 9.2) were prepared by ion-exchange method. The catalytic activity for N2O decomposition in the absence or in the presence of NO and for N2O reduction with CH4 in the absence of O2 (CRN2O), or in the presence of O2 (SCRN2O) was investigated. The catalytic measurements were performed in a flow apparatus with GC analysis of reactants and products. On Fe-MOR, in situ FTIR and UV–vis characterization evidenced coordinatively unsaturated sites (c.u.s.) Fe2+ arising from two families of Fe3+ dimers with different reducibility.

Methane dry reforming on Ru perovskites, AZrRuO3. Influence of preparation method and substitution of A cation with alkaline earth metals

Dry reforming could become an effective route to mitigate CO2 emission. The process required high temperatures due to its endothermicity and its accompanied by coke formation; therefore, the development of suitable catalysts is fundamental.

Effects of low-dosage ozone pre-treatment on the anaerobic digestion of secondary and mixed sludge

The present study investigated the effects of ozonation pre-treatment at low-ozone dosage (below 100 mgO3/gTS0) with respect to previous studies, on the anaerobic digestion of waste-activated sludge alone and a mixture of activated sludge and primary sludge. Methane production and volatile suspended solids reduction efficiency were determined for different specific ozone dosages and compared with the values obtained in the absence of pre-treatment.
