Relationship between accuracy and speed in the Raven’s coloured progressive matrices test: Normative data for Italian children aged 5-6 years

The Raven’s Coloured Matrices (CPM) is one of the most used tests for assessing fluid intelligence in children. Although the speed factor is considered important for the measurement of this construct, normative data for speed are not available for the CPM test, and the speed contribution on the test performance is not known in the literature. To help fill these gaps, we provide the CPM Accuracy and Speed norms, and data on the relationship between the two measures, concerning a sample of 468 Italian children aged 5-6 years.

A new standardization of the Bells Test. An Italian multi-center normative study

Objective: The Bells Test is a cancelation task that is widely used for the diagnosis of unilateral spatial neglect (USN). With the aim of fostering more reliable use of this instrument, we set out to develop new norms adjusted for the possible influence of age, gender and education. We worked on the original version of the test. Methods: Normative data were collected from 401 healthy participants aged between 20 and 80 years. Individual factors that could affect performance (i.e., gender, age, and years of education) were considered.

Effect of ageing on verbal and visuo-spatial working memory: Evidence from 880 individuals

It is well-known that ageing is associated with a decrease in working memory abilities. It is not so clear at what age the decline begins and if there are differences in the decline of verbal and visuo-spatial working memory. This study investigates the effect of ageing on verbal and visuo-spatial working memory by comparing the performance of 880 subjects aged between 15- and 80-year old who were subdivided into five groups. The results show that age is negatively correlated with performance on both verbal and visuo-spatial working memory tasks.

Normative data for the hayling and brixton tests in an italian population

Objective: The Hayling and Brixton tests constitute a short test battery that quickly assesses verbal and spatial inhibition and flexibility. This battery has shown high construct validity and strong reliability in clinical and experimental settings. The aim of this study was to develop an Italian version of the Hayling and Brixton tests and obtain normative values.

The tower of London (tol) in Italy. standardization of the tol test in an Italian population

Deficit in planning and problem-solving, affecting a wide range of neuropsychological patients, has been widely investigated using the Tower of London (ToL) test, as developed by Shallice (Philos Trans R Soc Lond Ser B Biol Sci 298:199-209, 1). The ToL taps on several executive functions (EF), such as planning, time for planning or rule breaks, which may be usefully indexed by different ToL measurements.
