Management of morbidity associated with pancreatic resection during cytoreductive surgery for epithelial ovarian cancer: a systematic review
Introduction: In ovarian cancer (OC), survival benefit in case of complete cytoreduction with absence of residual tumor has been clearly demonstrated; however, it often requires extensive surgery. Particularly, pancreatic resection during cytoreduction, may severely impact perioperative morbidity and mortality. Objectives: The aim of this systematic review is to evaluate complication rates and related optimal management of ovarian cancer patients undergoing pancreatic resection as part of cytoreductive surgery.
