Hands-on education through nano-satellites development: Past, current and future projects at sapienza S5Lab

The Sapienza Space Systems and Space Surveillance Laboratory (S5Lab) at Sapienza University of Rome is in the recent years carrying out a multiplicity of University nano-satellite projects, with the design, development, launch and operations of their CubeSats. The development of a satellite is a key-importance chance for University students to gain soft skills, practical knowledge and to follow a complete development cycle of a spaceborne object.

Analysis of the Mobility Flows within the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility Programme at Sapienza University of Rome

According to the last Erasmus+ Annual Report (2019a), the official document about data and statistics on mobility edited by the European Commission, almost 10 million people enjoyed the Erasmus programme during the last three decades. This number is also composed by all the students that, starting from year 2015, have taken advantage of the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility (ICM) that is a specific programme which aims to promote international mobility of European students and staff to and from non-EU partner countries.

Verbal, physical, and relational peer victimization: The role of immigrant status and gender

BACKGROUND: Most studies suggest that immigrant youth are more likely to be victimized than their non-immigrant counterparts. In Italy, a country in which the number of foreign migrants has grown exponentially over recent decades, this line of research is particularly interesting. Thus, the main objective of the present study was to examine the relationship between peer victimization, gender, and immigrant status in a large sample of students.

Non-European Mobility at Higher Education Institution: A Case Study from Sapienza University of Rome

The promotion of mobility among students and academic staff is one of the main objective of the Bologna Process, a series of ministerial meetings and agreements between European countries put in place to ensure comparability in the standards and quality of higher-education qualifications.

Nell’autunno del 2017, nell'ambito del Dipartimento di Scienze dell'Antichità della 'Sapienza' Università di Roma, è sorta l’idea di creare uno spazio pubblico in cui giovani studenti e dottorandi potessero presentare i risultati degli studi delle tesi triennali e magistrali. L’esigenza di creare uno spazio di discussione riservato ai giovani ricercatori nasceva dalla volontà di cercare un’occasione di confronto e di dialogo partecipato, in un contesto informale in cui gli studenti si potessero confrontare con studiosi e docenti.
