Si prendono in esame i luoghi pubblici dedicati all'esercizio della paideia sia a Roma che ad Atene in età antonina, nello specifico il complesso dell'Athenaeum di Adriano e il templum Pacis a Roma, gli odeia e lo stadio panatenaico ad Atene.
