Measuring Bullying and Victimization Among Immigrant and Native Primary School Students: Evidence From Italy

Italy is a particularly interesting context in which to study the phenomenon of bullying given the steadily increasing number of immigrant students attending Italian primary schools. We examined the psychometric properties of a short self-report measure of bullying and victimization across groups of students with various migration backgrounds. We then estimated, by latent mean comparisons, the rates of prevalence of bullying and victimization among different generations of immigrants and native students.

The cyber dating violence inventory. Validation of a new scale for online perpetration and victimization among dating partners

Cyber dating abuse is a new kind of dating violence. Several recent measures assess this phenomenon, but do not focus on a severe aggression that aims to spoil a partner’s relational network (relational cyber abuse). This study developed and validated the Cyber Dating Violence Inventory (CDVI) with 1405 adolescents and young adults (Mage = 18.17; SDage = 2.39; 65.1% females), an instrument that considers the relational dimension of online dating abuse.

When Sexting Becomes a Kind of Violence? Sexting Motivations and Dating Violence among Young Adults With Internet, dating violence started to happen also in online context. Research showed that sexting, that is the exchange of sexual suggestive images via Internet, is related to perpetration and victimization of dating violence. This study investigated in a sample of young adults aged from 18 to 27 years which motivations for sexting could lead to victimization and perpetration of dating violence.
