The aim of this contribution is that of stimulating intercultural and interdisciplinary reflections about the notion of strange with a focus on the distinct features pertaining to Tibetan civilization. The notion is strictly connected to perceptions which emerge during the course of time on the basis of explicit worldviews. Taking that into account, the subject-matter will be semantically contextualized; furthermore, it will be addressed and analyzed by way of instances drawn from the mythological, the mundane, and the religious spheres, so as to establish groundwork for the configuration of a phenomenologically comparative discourse in which the Tibetan aestheticism may be purposely contemplated.
