Despite the growing number of models developed to support organizations in measuring the value they generate in terms of social impact, in some cases their use remains limited. There is a consistent concern about the bias of existing standardized measurement tools, as the streamlined process that organizations want clashes with the need to quantify and/or monetize social impacts that are qualitative in nature.
This chapter provides an in-depth analysis of the main barriers that are perceived by managers as hampering their efforts to adopt a standardized tool to measure the social value created through their activities.
