What social conflict in the era of robots and the artificial intelligence?
The answer for this question is given by the collection of the contributions from the Consensus Conference “Il conflitto sociale nell’era dei robot e dell’intelligenza artificiale” held on 3rd of December in Rome - Biblioteca Casanatense. They offer a multi- and trans-disciplinary analysis on this issue. The monographic section aims at understanding how it could be possible revise the concept of conflict and the interpretative theories that have been used by the social sciences until now. They have been applied even after the growing integration of the no-human identities, as the AI are, in the relations with individuals and groups; they have called into question
many of the patterns of the conflictual dynamics. After the first analysis of the main theories on the conflict, critically defined as “metatheories”, the enucleation of these strategical patterns will follow: they will be important for the current social scenario around. This route will lead to the possible “revisions” of the concept “conflict” as they could be outlined in a multidisciplinary perspective for the analysis of the relations and interactions between humans and AI.
