Abstract · The theatrical autobiography of Franca Valeri · The contribution focuses on the rst-person writing of Franca Valeri, who in recent years has entrusted to the written page the re ned portrait of her intellectual pro le and the reenactment of her extraordinary artistic career, linked above all to the theatre. From the autobiography Bugiarda no, reticente in 2010 to the notes and re ections that follows one another, in the more recent La vacanza dei superstiti (e la chiamano vecchiaia) in 2016 and Il secolo della noia, just published, Franca Valeri, almost one hundred years old, seems to want to take leave of her beloved audience without divesting of her dress of intelligent irony.
