Results of the 2016-2017 field campaign on Velia’s south-western slope are presented in this paper. The
topographical layout and the history of the site, here described by phases, are discussed and integrated with
new stratigraphical data. The results of the excavations allow considering a newly updated interpretation of
buildings erected and modified between the early Imperial Age and the early Middle Age.
