Between 1929 and 1931, important archaeological excavations have been carried out in the Northern Necropolis
at Vulci by Ugo Ferraguti and Raniero Mengarelli. In the so called “Valle dell’Osteria”, many
tombs, in use from Orientalizing to Hellenistic Period, and a votive deposit were found, but all these important
discoveries are still unpublished. This article provides an overview of the preliminary results achieved
whit re-examination of four Hellenistic Tomb-groups. One of these (t. XVIII) might belong to an initiate
into the Cult of Dionysus.
