This contribution aims at the solution of a textual problem in the study of the Persian poem Haft peykar by Nezami of Ganje (12th century): the identification of the "fifth clime". This study shows that the true order of the climes/countries in the poem is that of the planets, from Saturn to the Moon, and not that according to the days of the week, as suggested by the titles introducing the chapters in the extant manuscripts; and the fifth clime, referred to in a passage of the poem, is Iran. This study also demonstrates that titles in Nezami's poem are unoriginal.
