Statistical analysis of prosumer behaviour in a real distribution network over two years
This paper presents a statistical analysis about domestic PV prosumers in Terni (Italy). Data of energy produced by domestic photovoltaic systems (PVs) and of energy injected into the grid are collected for years 2015 and 2016. Statistical distributions of self-consumption and self-sufficiency rates per prosumer are reported. The analyses show low values of both self-consumption and self-sufficiency rates with respect to expected ones, as well as a reduction of such indexes from 2015 to 2016, prompting the need to increase such values (by means of storage systems and/or demand side management) in order to attain a higher penetration of PVs in low voltage distribution networks.
