The Conference will address recent developments in mathematical prob- lems originated from modeling and applications in continuum physics and thermodynamics, as well as connections with other subjects, such as con- tinuum models for complex structures and smart materials in general. It will be an occasion to celebrate the 70th birthday of Angelo Morro, who has inspired and shaped the development of this eld for almost 40 years.
