Interessi di ricerca

Species composition and diversity in response to environmental and human factors, especially in forests and semi-natural grasslands.

Multi-taxonomic biodiversity.

Old-growth forests: terms, concepts and parameters referred to late-successional forests at the national and at the global scale.

I am now leading a COST Action involving 30 countries aimed at using forest multi-taxonomic data to define innovative indicators of sustainable forest management (www.bottoms-up.eu).

Semi-natural grasslands composition and species and functional diversity patterns in response to environmental and management drivers.
