Interessi di ricerca

Durante il mio percorso di ricerca mi sono occupato dei pathways di trasduzione del segnale degli Interferoni di tipo I e II, di quelli del recettore delle cellule T e della molecola ad attività co-stimolatoria CD28 con particolare riferimento alla funzione della proteina Vav e dell'influenza della proteina virale Nef, fattore di virulenza del virus dell’immunodeficienza acquisita umana (HIV), sulla trasduzione dei segnali nei macrofagi e nelle cellule microgliali.

Ad oggi, mi occupo principalmente dei meccanismi molecolari che sottendono alla trasformazione tumorale indotta dai Papillomavirus umani con particolare riferimento alla capacità di HPV di modulare il microambiente tumorale attraverso la deregolazione delle cito/-chemochine prodotte e del rilascio di vescicole extracellulari.

In qualità di Citometrista collaboro ai diversi progetti di ricerca sviluppati all’interno dei differenti laboratori afferenti al Dipartimento, ove richiesto l’utilizzo di tecniche di tipo citometrico.
