Mechanical vibrations and Vibroacoustic

  • Study of vibroacoustic problems at low, medium and high frequency both with classical methodologies (FEM, BEM) and with energetic methods (SEA).
  • Study of Master-Layer models for the transfer of mechanical energy for the dynamic simulation of structures.
  • Entropic techniques for studying energy transfer between dynamic systems.
  • Study of the dynamic behavior of cables for moored structures and guided cable vehicles with statistical linearization techniques and stochastic perturbative methods.
  • Study of models for predicting the dynamic behavior of mechanical systems affected by uncertainties.
  • Study of methods of homogenization of the mechanical characteristics of composite materials using multiscale techniques.

Control systems

  • Study of structural vibration control techniques with piezoelectric transducers.
  • Study of optimal control techniques

Friction - contact dynamics problems

  • Study of contact problems (friction) for the analysis of the propagation of elastic waves in structures and for the analysis of instability problems.
