Research activity is focused on Engineering Geology applied to natural hazard assessment and mitigation, with particular emphasis on local seismic response, seismic-induced landslides, and slope instability processes. Research integrates numerical and physically based modeling, GIS, Machine Learning, and advanced seismic signal analysis for the development of predictive tools and multi-hazard models. Activities also include seismic microzonation, earthquake geotechnics, environmental monitoring, hydrogeological characterization, and the development of innovative computational frameworks for territorial and infrastructure risk management.
