Giulia Mazzoccanti is a researcher in organic chemistry whose work focuses on molecular chirality and stereochemistry. Her research activity has been mainly devoted to the development of new strategies for determining absolute configuration and studying stereolability in different classes of chiral compounds. She has extensive experience in the design and synthesis of chiral selectors for chromatographic applications, as well as in the structural characterization of natural products, with particular emphasis on stereochemical aspects.
Her current research extends toward the design of functional materials for separation science and heterogeneous catalysis, with a focus on Covalent Organic Frameworks (COFs) and carbon nanodots. By exploring their synthesis, post-synthetic modification, and potential use in stereoselective processes, she aims to develop innovative approaches bridging organic chemistry and materials science.
She has co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications on enantioselective chromatography, stereochemical determination, and the separation of complex mixtures, contributing to the advancement of modern chiral analysis.
