CURRENT RESEARCH ACTIVITY.

1-Lactoferrin: study of the anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-inflammatory activity;

2-Phenotypic and genotypic characterization of E. coli UPEC populations;

3-E. coli genome structure analysis by pangenomic approach for the molecular identification of

pathotypes;

4- Analysis of the genome structure of species belonging to the Burkholderia cepacia complex, using a pangenomic approach for the identification of molecular markers useful for their phenotypic identification;

5- Study-characterization of the skin microbiota in patients with Atopic Dermatitis.

6- Persistent bacterial infection- short and long-term effects of intracellular bacteria on inflammatory response and epigenetic changes leading to cellular transformation.
