Heritage-lab

The Heritage Lab research team is made up of experts in cultural heritage conservation and archaeometry. It collaborates with numerous national and international institutions, museums, and archaeological sites.
The team uses a multidisciplinary analytical approach (chemical, physical, mechanical, and biological) to study various materials such as stone, mortars, painted and unpainted plasters, pigments, organic and inorganic binders, ceramics, raw earth, wood, glass, and metals.

The research team is involved in the field of sustainable hydrogen production coupled with concentrated solar power and energy storage systems, required to improve the dispatchability  of solar energy.

Our work combines theoretical modeling with the experimental results obtained in collaboration with ENEA laboratories. The main research topics are:
