Abstract
Hydrodynamics chromatography is a simple and promising technique for the size-based
separation of suspensions and colloids that ranges from tens of nanometers to micrometers.
Unfortunately HDC is affected by several weak points, the most relevant are the long time
analysis and the low load capability. This project aims to investigate different flow protocols,
from pressure-driven to electosmotic, with the scope to tame the dispersion spread of
particles and carry the separation in shorter time analysis by using alternative geometries.
