Ion reactivity in the gas phase

The ionic processes have a fundamental and applicative relevance. Their study in the gas phase allows to explore the intrinsic properties of the chemical process without the effect of the solvent. Moreover, the gas phase ion-molecule reactions represent a model to deep insight in reactions occurring in the terrestrial and planetary atmospheres, in the interstellar medium and in biological systems.
