Effect of Flexural Stress on Torsional Resistance of NiTi Instruments

Introduction: Previously published studies have deeply investigated the characteristics of flexural and torsional resistance of nickel-titanium rotary instruments, but none of them investigated the relationship between the 2 stresses. The objective of the present study was to evaluate the influence of flexural stresses over torsional resistance. Methods: Sixty S-One 20.04 files (Fanta Dental, Shanghai, China) were used in the present study (N = 60) and divided into 3 test groups of 20 files.

Italy-China Trade Relations. A Historical Perspective

This book examines the political connections and trade relations between Italy and China, with particular emphasis on the second half of the 19th century and the period following the Second World War. Examining effects of mother and father warmth and control on child externalizing and internalizing problems from age 8 to 13 in nine countries

This study used data from 12 cultural groups in 9 countries (China, Colombia, Italy, Jordan, Kenya, Philippines, Sweden, Thailand, and United States; N = 1,315) to investigate bidirectional associations between parental warmth and control, and child externalizing and internalizing behaviors. In addition, the extent to which these associations held across mothers and fathers and across cultures with differing normative levels of parent warmth and control were examined. Mothers, fathers, and children completed measures when children were ages 8 to 13.

Graph theoretical analysis of the Chinese high-speed rail network over time

In this paper, we examine the development of the Chinese high-speed rail (HSR) network over the period 2003–2014. Our methodology relies on network analysis to identify changes over time in HSR network accessibility measured by node degree, strength, closeness, and betweenness. We show that sub-networks connecting regional centres with second-tier cities are first built. Once such sub-networks are mostly established, they are also connected with each other. Moreover, a simultaneous rather than a sequential schedule for multiple HSR segments is at place at any particular time.

Cultura e letteratura tra Italia e Cina

For centuries relations between Europe and China were concurrent with the interaction between Italy and the Chinese Empire. This situation ended in the 19th century when Great Britain forcibly opened China to international trade. At the end of the century, knowledge of the Italian Risorgimento, with such heroes as Garibaldi, Mazzini, and Cavour, inspired some Chinese intellectuals in their effort to launch a national renewal.

Tracing the modes of China’s revisionism in the Indo-Pacific: a comparison with pre-1941 Shōwa Japan

The People’s Republic of China (PRC) has irrefutably reached ‘great power’ status. As a consequence, most
studies argue that it has adopted a revisionist posture towards the US-led international order. However, this
image tells us little about Beijing’s revisionist strategy, particularly whether it is revolutionary or incremental
and what this implies in terms of actual policies. The current article posits that the PRC is behaving as an
incremental revisionist and aims at tracing its modes. To verify this hypothesis, the analysis focuses on
