La transizione verso un’economia circolare, applicata in via prioritaria all’ambiente costruito, è riconosciuta nei più recenti indirizzi UE come approccio promettente per aumentare la produttività delle risorse. In Italia, una potente leva è rappresentata dall’obbligatorietà di applicazione dei Criteri Ambientali Minimi del Green Public Procurement che, in edilizia (DM 11/10/2017), riguarda la totalità degli appalti.

The final implementation of the Minimum Environmental Criteria (CAM) for public buildings (Ministerial Decree 11/10/2017), besides having resolutely pushed the design to internalize technical-constructive choices with a more complete and complex environmental and energy profile, induces the operators of the supply chain to a greater and more aware environmental qualification. Although, despite their mandatory nature, the rate of application of CAM is still limited, this results in a strong process innovation.
