Transmedia is coming. Il caso FantaGot e la storyworld interactivation

In transmedia environment storyworlds represent a fundamental resource for diegetic expansions and for user interaction. The UGCs (User Generated Content) fit into the narrative structure as a strategic value for narrative brands. In this sense, games play a very important role, representing forms through which users experience narrative universes according to a process of interactivation. In this scenario our research analyzes FantaGOT, a game based on HBO’s Game of Thrones, in order to investigate the dynamics between the content, the authors and the fandom.

“It’s a trap”. Transmedia Screen-Storytelling. Dall’esperienza immersiva all’interattività partecipativa

The current narrative environment sees as protagonists of the production and distribution of content, important franchises, able to colonize the imaginary built on media representations, saturating also the conversations on social media. Think, for example, of memes, videos and UGC that have as a reference such narrative universes.
