Experimental analysis of stationary and transient scenarios of ALFRED steam generator bayonet tube in CIRCE-HERO facility

In the framework of the HORIZON2020 SESAME European project (SESAME Project, EURATOM H2020, 2015), an experimental campaign has been carried out on the large LBE pool integral effect CIRCE facility at CR ENEA Brasimone (Tarantino et al., 2011). The experiments are based on the HERO Test Section installed into CIRCE (Rozzia et al., 2017), aiming at supporting the development of the ALFRED design (Frignani et al., 2017).

Underground MV power cable joints: A nonlinear thermal circuit model and its experimental validation

The analysis of the thermal stress of underground MV power cable joints under different environmental conditions, both in normal operation and during faults, is crucial to assess any correlation between the occurrence of overheatings and the anomalous increase of failures (two to three times compared to previous years) which have been observed in the Italian distribution network during summer 2015 (the hottest year ever since 1880).

Numerical analysis of mutual transient voltages in grounding systems of offshore wind farms

The paper illustrates a numerical procedure for the computation of mutual transient overvoltages transferred among typical grounding systems of wind turbines belonging to the same wind farm. We use a hybrid approach based on circuit theory and Method of Moments in the frequency domain. The transient response is obtained by means of the Inverse Fourier Transform efficiently computed trough a double-exponential formula.
