Technology at work

Technology at Work is a research group coordinated by Sapienza University in collaboration with University of Chieti and  Pescara "G. D'annunzio", the University of Cagliari, University of Padua, and the University Mercatorum,  devoted to exploring the impact of emerging technologies on work, analyzing adoption processes, innovation in work practices, technology-based coordination activities, and new models of digital collaboration.

It primarily involves the disiciplines of Social Psychology and Organisational and Work Psychology.

From Consensus to Innovation. Evolving Towards Crowd-based User-Centered Design

The arising of new technologies ranging from smartphones to social networks is constantly increasing
interactions between people. In the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) community,
adapting technology to human nature is the key concern of User-Centered Design (UCD). However, UCD
tends to neglect the emerging social dimension of technology: users are consulted in the design
