Validity and reliability of the Unified Classification System applied to periprosthetic femur fractures: a comparison with the Vancouver system

Objective:
The Unified Classification System (UCS) presents itself as an evolution of the Vancouver Classification (VCS) for the evaluation of periprosthetic fractures of the proximal femur (PPF). The aim of our study was to evaluate the interobserver and intraobserver reliability, with the purpose of highlighting any loss of reproducibility or validity of the new classification system, compared to the previous one, when applied to the proximal femur.

Development of a new screening tool for cyber pornography. Psychometric properties of the Cyber Pornography Addiction Test (CYPAT)

There are some well-validated inventories measuring perceived addiction to internet pornography but these instruments are often too long for a functionally use and fast scoring.

Time perspective constructs in Albanian and Italian adolescents: exploratory analyses

Time perspective is an important correlate of developmental outcomes in adolescence, and research has highlighted the importance of assessing the past, the present, and the future. However, there are few instruments that assess all three time periods. In the current study, we examined the responses of Italian and Albanian adolescents on the time frequency, time orientation, time relation, and time attitude subscales of the Adolescent and Adult Time Inventory.

Quality of life in Parkinson’s disease: Italian validation of the Parkinson’s Disease Questionnaire (PDQ-39-IT)

Translation and cross-cultural adaptation of the 39-item Parkinson’s Disease Questionnaire (PDQ-39) to the Italian culture was performed by Oxford University Innovation in 2008, but this version has never been validated. Therefore, we performed the process of validation of the Italian version of the PDQ-39 (PDQ-39-IT) following the “Consensus-Based Standards for the Selection of Health Status Measurement Instruments” checklist. The translated PDQ-39-IT was tested with 104 patients diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease (PD) who were recruited between June and October 2017.

Achmea between the Orthodoxy of the Court of Justice and Its Multi-Faceted Implications. An Introduction

The Achmea case has generated much controversy and fierce criticism from investment lawyers and international law specialists. This Special Section takes such reaction as an invitation to investigate the premises and the impressive set of consequences inferred from the judgment, both for investment arbitration and the European integration process. But the Achmea judgment is not only about how EU law interacts with international investment law.
