In the Nanosynthesis and Characterization Group we work on the chemical synthesis, structural and functional study of innovative and nanostructured materials with the final aim of developing knowledge-based materials for advanced technological applications. In particular, different synthesis methods for organometallic complexes and rigid rod polymers, nanostructured polymers, and functionalized metal nanoparticles are developed. Structural and functional characterization of the materials, suitable for applications in optoelectronics, sensors, photonics, nanomedicine and biotechnology are investigated.
