In this paper a number of burials from Rome (IX-IX cent. BC), excavated at the beginning of 19th century and in recent times, are analyzed with a multidisciplinary approach. They are found in Roman Forum, near the Temple of Antonino and Faustina, in the Caesar Forum and on the Capitolium Hill in the area of Giardino Romano. Anthropological data, relating to sex and age of the death, together with archaeobotanical and zooarchaeological results, allow a better understanding of the structure of the ancient community, with a particolar attention to some aspects related to offering rituals, health, nutrition and diet.
