The knowledge of optical properties of human tissues and their interaction with electromagnetic (EM) waves is necessary for determining the effects of EM field on tissues. It leads to prevention and treatment of undesirable consequences on humans. Due to complex structure of tissues with several layered structures and interfaces, the EM wave scattering behavior is much complicated. Each type of tissue presents different scattering attitude due to different structure. With study of optical properties and EM scattering, difference in scattering behavior of different blood vessels can be obtained and modeled. As a result of different scattering behavior, these vessels can be differentiated into veins, arteries and capillaries.
