Research is an instrument of knowledge: for those who prepare it and those who benefit from it.
In this contribution, although in a summary, we want to describe the process of planning and the methodological organization of research in the educational field. In the first place, one must ask what research in general means, then reflect it on the reference paradigms
that shape the research, make a reference plan (in the form of dimensions and/or phases that each researcher considers in the planning and development of research) and finally outline the styles and types of tools for the detection and construction of research
“data”.
