I am currently a co-chair of the LIGO-Virgo-KAGRA Obeservational Science division and the Virgo data analysis coordinator.
My main research intersts are the following.
- Developing and carrying out searches for gravitational-wave signals emitted by coalescing compact binaries (two neutron stars, two black holes, or a neutron star and black hole), in particular in time and sky coincidence with short gamma-ray bursts.
- Bayesian inference in the context of gravitational-wave astrophysics.
- Modelling gravitational-wave signals emitted by merging black holes and neutron stars.
- Simulating compact binary coalescences within numerical relativity.
- Constraining the neutron star equation of state with gravitational-wave multimessenger observations.
