My research interests are related to geomorphology. Geomorphological survey in natural and urbanized areas is the base of my work, geomorphological mapping allows to me to create products representing the landscape and its natural evolution and the anthropogenic transformations. The geomorphological knowledge of my study areas also allows to me the geomorphological heritage (geoheritage) inventory and assessment. The geoheritage inventory is an effective tool for sustainable devolopment, through the story-telling of Earth history and the definition of human being role in it. The exploration of the relationship between the substrate, the landforms and the land use is of my scientific interest, too. It helps defining settlement choices and local cultural identity: geotourism strategies are scientifically based on this and results are very important for sustainable development.
