My research in the broader field of Civil Structural Engineering focuses on Earthquake Engineering and Structural Safety. Over the years I developed an expertise in Reliability/Risk/Resilience assessment of structural (bridges, buildings) and Infrastructural Systems (networked systems). I am currently involved in research projects for the national Department of Civil Protection and actively involved within national and european code committees (structural Eurocodes).
