My research focuses on the history of twentieth-century physics, the development of European scientific cooperation, and the history of scientific institutions. In this framework, I work on a scientific biography of Edoardo Amaldi and, from a broader perspective, on the scientific trajectories starting at via Panisperna. This work extends to the intellectual commitments of figures such as Ginestra Amaldi and Laura Fermi, exploring the cultural and social dimensions of physics in the interwar and postwar periods. I study the evolution of Big Science and research infrastructures in Europe, the emergence of multimessenger astronomy and gravitational-wave physics, and the historical trajectories of nuclear fusion research.
