My research lies at the intersection of organizational economics and institutional analysis, with a particular focus on governance, institutional dynamics, and strategic behavior in complex economic systems. I study how firms and public organizations navigate structural constraints, regulatory frameworks, and governance arrangements—often under conditions of uncertainty and institutional change.

Drawing on cases ranging from multinational enterprises to start-ups, family- and state-owned firms, private and public organizations, my work investigates how ownership structures, institutional contexts, and inter-organizational relationships shape economic outcomes. I am especially interested in the tensions between formal institutional architectures and the strategic agency of organizations, with implications for internationalization, innovation, resilience, and misconduct.
