Interessi di ricerca

On January 24, 2011 he holds a degree in Civil Engineering – Structural Mechanics at the “Sapienza” University of Rome, grade of 110 (out of 110) cum laude. The thesis, entitled “An algorithm for the stability analysis of equilibrium paths of beams subjected to non-conservative loadings” (supervisor: Prof. A. Paolone, assistant supervisor: Dr. G. Ruta), was awarded the “Antonio Ventura” prize (conferred by the “Roma Sapienza Foundation” on June 15, 2011).

During the same year he joined a project developed by ANAS S.p.A. - Central Design Department of Rome (technical director M. Averardi).

In 2012 he wins the entrance examinations for the PhD in Structural Engineering (Course XXVII), at “Sapienza” University of Rome. At the University he collaborates in teaching activities for the courses of Mechanics of Solids, Mechanics of Bidimensional Structures and Mathematical Physics. On February 10, 2015 he holds the title of Doctor of Research with a dissertation titled “Direct and inverse dynamic analysis of damaged structures with uncertain parameters” (supervisor: Prof. A. Paolone, Prof. F. Romeo).

After performed as Research fellow at the Department of Structural and Geotechnical Engineering of the “Sapienza” University of Rome (from May 1, 2015) and Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Architecture of the same university (from October 2, 2017), in 2018 he wins the competition for a position as Research Associate (RTDA) at the same Faculty. He held the position from March 1, 2019 to October 9, 2022, when he took up his role as Assistant Professor (RTDB) at the Faculty of Civil and Industrial Engineering of “Sapienza” University of Rome.

Since October 10, 2025, he has been an Associate Professor at the Department of Structural and Geotechnical Engineering of the Faculty of Civil and Industrial Engineering, “Sapienza” University of Rome. He is author/co-author of 65 scientific publications, including 21 articles on international journals and 44 contributions to national and international conferences and magazines, and supervisor of 26 graduation theses, 3 PhD theses and 29 2nd Level Master degree theses. He is also co-author of the “Guidelines for the design of beam bridges” edited by ANAS S.p.A. in 2012, author of one book chapter and 4 contributions on technical periodicals, and guest editor of a Special Issue on structural monitoring (now in the second edition).

He currently carries out research in the following areas: dynamics and stability of elastic structures in finite geometry, thin-walled beams, dynamic identification of structures with uncertain parameters, damage identification, structural modelling.
