The research in my lab aims at understanding how environmental factors affect the molecular mechanisms regulating plant development. More in detail, my lab is interested in understanding how and why light and drought affect the activity of the Cullin-RING class of ubiquitin Ligases (CRL) and their substrates. CRLs regulate most plant physiological and developmental processes the enzymes by controlling the half-life of key regulatory proteins. We use Arabidopsis thaliana as a model system because of its small size, fast life cycle, trim genome and easy genetics.
