Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a global health burden characterized by persistent airflow limitation, exacerbations and comorbidities. Traditional risk stratification systems, such as FEV1-based classifications, fail to capture the full spectrum of disease severity and patient outcomes. This study proposes a novel, multidimensional, prognostic index as a risk assessment tool for COPD, integrating clinical, functional, and biomarker parameters, to improve patient stratification and guide treatment decisions.
