Le attività di ricerca nel campo delle reti sono svolte dal Networking Group (NG) del Dipartimento di Ingegneria dell'Informazione, Elettronica e Telecomunicazioni. Il NG opera in un'ampia gamma di aree tematiche (ad esempio reti ottiche, reti IP, reti wireless, Real Time LAN, Internet of Things, reti veicolari V2X, reti satellitari LEO) sviluppando un mix complementare di ricerca teorica e sperimentale applicata. Il NG conta attualmente circa 40 membri, tra cui quattro professori e 10 post-PhD. La sua missione è promuovere la collaborazione tra il mondo accademico e l'industria al fine di realizzare progetti di ricerca congiunti e consentire il trasferimento reciproco di know-how. I membri del NG sono autori di numerosi articoli pubblicati sulle più importanti riviste tecniche e conferenze nel campo delle reti di telecomunicazione. Hanno partecipato a molti progetti italiani ed europei.

Networking research activities are carried out by the Networking Group (NG) of the Department of Information Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications. The NG works in a wide range of subject areas (e.g. optical networks, IP networks, wireless networks, Real Time LAN, Internet of Things, V2X vehicular networks, LEO satellite networks) developing a complementary mix of theoretical and applied experimental research. NG currently has around 40 members, including four professors and 10 post-docs. Its mission is to promote collaboration between academia and industry in order to carry out joint research projects and enable the mutual transfer of know-how. NG members are authors of numerous articles published in the most important technical journals and conferences in the field of telecommunications networks. They have been involved in many Italian and European projects.
